Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease that is complicated by the occurrence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). 25-hydroxyvitamin D deficiency contributes to the etiology and progression of type 2 DM and development of micro-vascular complications so In this study, we assessed 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels in diabetic patients to evaluate the association between 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and the occurrence of diabetic neuropathy and to assess if there is a relationship with certain subtypes of diabetic neuropathy.
