Abstract

Herpes Zoster occurs after a previous infection with the varicella zoster virus reactivates."Herpes viruses, eight in number, very commonly infect humans. Any of them can cause lifelong latent infections after an initial, usually mild or asymptomatic primary infection. Among them is herpes zoster, which occurs after reactivation of a previous infection with the varicella zoster virus (VZV).
